Expanding the CM5 Line: Chipsee Introduces New Industrial PCs and Box PC

We continue to push the boundaries of industrial computing with the third expansion of our product line based on the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 (CM5). This latest addition includes three new Industrial Panel PCs and one Industrial Box PC, designed to meet the growing demands of industrial automation, edge AI applications, and HMI solutions. Built for durability and performance, these new devices offer extensive connectivity options, flexible configurations, and seamless integration into the Raspberry Pi ecosystem.

Advanced Performance and Versatile Connectivity

All new products in this release are powered by the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5, featuring a quad-core Cortex-A76 processor running at 2.4GHz and up to 8GB of LPDDR4X-4267 SDRAM. This ensures robust computing power and efficiency for industrial applications. Additionally, each device includes a broad range of communication interfaces such as RS232, RS485, CAN, and USB, allowing for easy integration into existing industrial networks.

The industrial-grade design of these devices makes them highly reliable even in challenging environments. Built with rugged enclosures and high-quality materials, they can withstand extended operating temperature ranges and harsh conditions. Touchscreen models incorporate armored glass for added durability, ensuring longevity and reliability in demanding applications.

New Industrial Panel PCs

The PPC-CM5-133 and PPC-CM5-156 introduce larger, high-performance industrial panel PCs, featuring 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch capacitive touchscreens respectively. These models support panel and VESA mounting options, making them adaptable for various industrial installations. With their robust metal enclosures and extended temperature tolerance, they offer a reliable solution for automation, control systems, and other industrial use cases. The PPC-CM5-133 maintains reliable performance from 0°C to +80°C, while the PPC-CM5-156 extends its range further, from -20°C to +85°C, ensuring functionality in extreme conditions.

The PPC-CM5-070-D introduces a more compact 7.0-inch model with IP65-rated front panel protection, making it ideal for intensive industrial applications requiring a rugged human-machine interface. This model distinguishes itself from the standard PPC-CM5-070 with dual Giga Ethernet, enhanced USB 3.0 host support, and additional features such as PWM signal compatibility through Node-Red. Designed for durability and ease of use, its metal enclosure ensures longevity, though it is not intended for dismantling.

A Compact and Powerful Industrial Box PC

For applications requiring a fanless, compact industrial computing solution, the CS-CM5-BOX delivers exceptional performance in a lightweight design. Featuring dual LAN ports, CAN bus support, HDMI output, and multiple USB interfaces, it provides the connectivity needed for diverse industrial environments. Its passive cooling system, enabled by an aluminum housing with integrated fins, ensures silent operation while reducing maintenance costs. Wireless capabilities can be expanded with optional WiFi, Bluetooth, and 4G/LTE modules, further enhancing its adaptability in industrial and edge computing scenarios.
