Hardware description
The PPC-A72-150 has several expansion connectors on the backside – 1 USB 2.0 connector, 1 USB 3.0 connector, 1 Type-C connector, 1 LAN connector, and 6 channels of RS232 and RS485 connectors. It also has one channel 1Gb Ethernet port and one TF (uSD) card connector supporting a TF card of up to 32GB.
The WiFi/Bluetooth module is based on the Realtek RTL8723BU an 802.11bgn 2.4G single-chip that integrates Wireless LAN (WLAN) and a network USB interface (USB 1.0/1.1/2.0 compatible) controller with an integrated Bluetooth 2.1/3.0/4.0 controller. It combines a WLAN MAC, a 1T1R capable WLAN baseband, and WLAN RF in a single chip.
The speed of the RS232 and the RS485 port is up to 115200 Baud.
The PPC-A72-150 has a 15’’ 10-point capacitive touch screen, with a 1024×768 resolution, that enables stable and accurate control over the device.
Capacitive touchscreens are very durable and resistant to environmental contaminants like dust and water. These types of screens work best with either a finger or a stylus with a conductive tip.
