The PPC-A8-97-C has several expansion connectors on the back side – 3 USB 2.0 connectors, 1 LAN connector, 2 CAN connectors, 2 RS485 connectors and 2 RS232 connectors. It also features a WiFi and Bluetooth antenna, an HDMI connector, and a 3.5mm audio connector.
The USB 2.0 connector is the most popular USB standard today, and it has the ability to transmit data at a maximum speed of 480 Mbps. The LAN connector (Local Area Network) is used to connect computers to each other, or various peripheral devices.

The RS232 and RS485 connectors are intended for connecting a modem to the PPC-A8-97-C, while the CAN connectors are most widely used in the automotive industry. The PPC-A8-97-C has one channel 100Mb Ethernet connector, and one HDMI connector which can be configured by software.
The PPC-A8-97-C has 5 channels of UART in total. The Bluetooth uses one UART channel by default, (the default setting is 28RS232+2*RS485+Bluetooth). The UART channel can be changed between RS232 and RS485 easily. If you want different RS232 and RS485 setting, please conact us.
When it comes to audio capabilities, the PPC-A8-97-C has one 3.5mm Output/input connector and an internal speaker.

This product features the CS-SOM335X-V3 System-on-Module, based on the AM3354 ARM Cortex-A8 processor.
The AM3354 microprocessor is enhanced with image, graphics processing, peripherals and industrial interface options such as EtherCAT and PROFIBUS. The devices support high-level operating systems (HLOS).
The microprocessor unit (MPU) subsystem is based on the ARM Cortex-A8 processor and the PowerVR SGX™ Graphics Accelerator subsystem provides 3D graphics acceleration to support display and gaming effects.

Display and Touchscreen
PPC-A8-97-C features a 9.7’’ display with a 1024×768 pixel resolution, and a 5-point capacitive touch screen. 5-point capacitive touchscreens offer a stable and accurate control over the device, as well as great image clarity.
The screen offers very high brightness of 350 nits. When it comes to the viewing angle, the screen offers various angles: top, bottom, left, and right view.
Software and OS
This product comes with a pre-installed OS of your choice. Please use the drop-down menu to choose the one you need, and we’ll pre-install it for you.
